We’re trying something new this year.
Yes, we know there’s already a highly successfulChicago Restaurant Week in late January/early February, and that February is North Shore Restaurant Month. Those are great events that offer guests special pricing for special menus, and they’re a big hit. But we wanted to put our own spin on it.
Make It Better has always been about giving back to the community we love. So we are combining that idea with special restaurant deals that will hopefully mean a win-win for all involved!
During MIB’s first annual Restaurant Week (February 17-24, 2014), it’s easy to participate.
Bring it in to one of our participating restaurant partners:
- 153 Akira (Wilmette)
- Bluegrass (Highland Park)
- Café Aroma (Winnetka)
- Convito Café & Market (Wilmette)
- Depot Nuevo (Wilmette)
- Hewn Bakery (Evanston)
- Pete Miller’s (Evanston)
- Three Tarts Bakery (Northfield)
You’ll get a special deal, and a deserving nonprofit will get $5.
All you need to do is subscribe (for free!) to our biweekly Better Letter by writing your email address on the coupon, and you will save some dough while helping to raise money for a very worthy organization. Participating nonprofits include:
- Family Action Network (FAN)
- Evanston Township High School
- LUNGevity/Breathe Deep North Shore
- New Trier High School Booster Club, Fine Arts Association, Foundation & Parent Association
- Youth Connections
- Youth Organizations Umbrella (Y.O.U.)
Each of the restaurants is partnered with a local nonprofit (for example, you can get 20 percent off your bill at Hewn Bakery with a minimum $10 purchase, and Y.O.U. will get $5). It’s a quick and easy way to make a difference in our community. Food and charitable giving: Now that’s a combo that we can get behind.
