“Shen Yun”

Closes Feb. 19
Chicago

After seeing this show, Broadway critic Richard Connema said, “I’ve reviewed about 4,000 shows. None can compare to what I saw tonight.” Can’t make it this weekend? “Shen Yun” will also run March 10-12 at Rosemont Theatre.

“Lincoln’s Undying Words”

"Lincoln's Undying Words" at Chicago History Museum

“Lincoln’s Drive through Richmond” by Dennis Malone Carter portrays the president’s triumphant visit to the fallen rebel capital on April 4, 1865. Throngs of former slaves and white Union sympathizers gave Lincoln a hero’s welcome while Confederate supporters remained indoors. (Image courtesy of the Chicago History Museum.)

This is your last chance to see the Lincoln family carriage, Lincoln’s deathbed and last order to General Ulysses S. Grant, a first edition of “Twelve Years a Slave” by Solomon Northup and more in this exhibit that explores five of Lincoln’s key speeches.
