Start the weekend with an adults-only party at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Chicago before catching two movies at Wilmette Theatre. Then, enjoy ballet in Chicago or delicious dining in Rosemont.
Act like a kid again at this adults-only spring break beach party. Don an Hawaiian shirt for the chance to win a prize, enter the sand castle building competition, sip on tropical drinks from the Tiki Bar, and more.
Wilmette Theatre has partnered with Go Green Wilmette and the One Earth Film Festival (March 2-11) to screen “Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman,” “a film that examines the values that rural and urban people share and the challenges they can solve together.” After the screening, viewers will meet Jim Slama, founder of FamilyFarmed, and Dr. Bala Chaudhary, assistant professor, Department of Environmental Science and Studies, DePaul University.
Wilmette Theatre will also host a screening of “The Sandlot” in partnership with the Illinois Baseball Academy to support Jon Lester’s NVRQT campaign benefitting the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. There will be a raffle with prizes like a Cubs “Dream Day” package, memorabilia signed by Lester, Pearl Jam at Wrigley Field tickets, and more.
Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, established in honor of Grace Kelly by her daughter, the Princess of Hanover, returns to Chicago for the first time since 1987 with “a dazzling, enthralling twist” on this classic fairytale.
If you haven’t explored Rosemont recently, now’s the perfect time thanks to dining deals and special menus at a variety of restaurants. Participants include Bub City, Fogo de Chao, Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse, Morton’s The Steakhouse, and Park Tavern.
- On March 4, watch the Oscars at Westfield Old Orchard’s Stone Sports Bar at CMX Cinemas. Premium packages featuring two glasses of Prosecco, one charcuterie and fine cheese board, dessert bites, VIP seating, and a free movie ticket raffle are available. Plus, take part in the Oscars ballot contest.
