Festival season is here! This weekend, don’t miss Chocolate Fest in Long Grove, Lincoln Park Wine Festival, or the Skokie Festival of Cultures. Plus, enjoy Central Street Evanston’s annual Art Walk and a new exhibit at the Chicago Children’s Museum.
And if you’re hosting a royal wedding watch party, here’s everything you need to know to serve a proper tea.
In celebration of community, art, and commerce, participating Central Street businesses will display paintings, jewelry, photos, and more from local artists.
If you love chocolate, you’ll love this festival featuring chocolate-inspired treats like chocolate cotton candy, chocolate-covered bacon, chocolate funnel cakes, chocolate popcorn, and more. Visitors will also enjoy live music and family activities.
Chicagoans will be able to sample from more than 80 wines at this expanded annual wine fest. Plus, there will be food, artisans, and DJs.
You’ll be able to tour the world right here at home during this two-day festival that will feature ethnic folk music and dance, food, arts and crafts, cultural booths, shopping, and more.
Opens May 19
Chicago Children’s Museum’s newest original exhibit will let kids create their own nautical adventure with a variety of boats and boating equipment, props, and clothing. “Boats immerses children in a rich, dramatic play environment that expands their play possibilities and inspires them to explore new perspectives,” says CCM President and CEO Jennifer Farrington.
