This weekend is all about food (a brand new restaurant week in Rosemont, all-you-can-eat pancakes for a good cause, even spring beer samples), but don’t miss the Woman’s Club of Evanston’s annual revue that gives back and an environmental film festival returning to Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
March 3-4, 9-11
The Woman’s Club of Evanston will host their annual WCE Revue to benefit Literature for All of Us both this weekend and next. Members of the WCE and Literature for All of Us will write, direct, choreograph and perform song parodies about social media, current events and more.
This environmental film festival returns for its sixth year throughout Chicago and the suburbs. Film topics range from climate change and energy to social justice and transportation.
This all-you-can-eat pancake festival kicks off the Northbrook Nine season. Guests will receive a free Dairy Queen Blizzard coupon with every breakfast purchased from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will also be able to enter a raffle for the chance to win a TV. All proceeds will go to Youth Services Glenview/Northbrook.
The Field Museum will host more than 70 breweries offering samples of spring seasonal beers. Plus, attendees will enjoy music, food and select museum exhibits.
