FOX LAKE, IL (August 19-20, 2017) – The Village of Fox Lake invites outdoor enthusiasts to celebrate all things land and (Fox) lake at the 2nd annual Fox Lake Land & Lake Days at Lakefront Park on Saturday, August 19th (10 am- 10 pm) and Sunday, August 20th (8 am-3 pm). The family friendly festival will include live entertainment from Ken Schultz “The Flying Fool”, Tropixplosion and 28 Days. Additionally, there will be a fabulous selection of food and drinks from local restaurants, food trucks, a beer tent, and plenty of kid-friendly activities including: a bouncy house, face painting, pony and camel rides, and henna tattoos. The weekend will be capped off with the 20th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta, beginning on Sunday at 8 a.m.
Cardboard Boat Regatta boat registration is $30 and includes a building kit. The four categories for both on-and off-site boat building are: children ages 10 and under, children ages 11 to 15, adults ages 16 and up, and business entries. Medals will be given to all children that race in the boat. Trophies will be awarded for 1st and 2nd Place, Best of Show, and Fastest Sinking in each category. There are no restrictions on the length of the boat or crew size. Interested participants can contact 847-587-3944 to sign up for the regatta.

Saturday, August 19th, 10a.m.-10 p.m.:
10 a.m. – 10 p.m..: Food vendors, bouncy house, face painting, henna tattoos, pony and camel rides will kick be on-site all day.
2 p.m..: Chicago’s Comedy Juggler, unicyclist, fire-eater, physical comedian Ken Schultz “The Flying Fool”
4 p.m.: Tropixplosion steel drum band, providing the ultimate island experience
7 p.m.: Chicago’s premiere cover band, 28 Days, performs
Sunday, August 20th, 8am a.m. – 3 p.m.:
8 a.m.: 20th annual Cardboard Boat Regatta onsite boat building and registration begins.
8 am- 3 pm: Food vendors, bouncy house, face painting, henna tattoos, pony and camel rides will kick be on-site all day.
