Collectors, connoisseurs and art enthusiasts will return to the Chicago Botanic Garden September 15th through September 17th, with a Preview Party on September 14th, for the 33rd annual American Craft Exposition (ACE). Presented by The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore), this juried exposition and sale of fine craft features one-of-a-kind pieces, luxury collections and uniquely creative artwork from 140 of the country’s leading craftspeople, including an emerging artists category. This highly anticipated event gives guests the opportunity to appreciate and purchase stunning artwork while supporting pharmacogenomics and orthopaedic regenerative medicine research at NorthShore.
Set against the spectacular backdrop of the Chicago Botanic Garden’s world-renowned grounds, ACE features distinctive pieces made in the United States, by the country’s leading artists showcasing new achievements in jewelry, ceramics, metal, fashion wearables, glass, furniture, fiber decoratives, leather, wood, mixed media and basketry. ACE is a nationally recognized and celebrated event, which is presented by a volunteer committee that works year-round to bring patrons a truly memorable experience.
The 2017 ACE co-chairs Laura Koh and Melissa David are honored to be leading this year’s event. “We are delighted to once again host our show at the beautiful Chicago Botanic Garden,” said Laura Koh. “Last year, over 7,500 people attended ACE, enjoying the exceptional artistry and craftsmanship of more than 140 fine craftsmen and women,” she added. “This year is sure to be equally wonderful with many returning artists, as well as new artists showcasing their work.”
“We are so proud to be supporting NorthShore University HealthSystem’s important research initiatives for pharmacogenomics and orthopaedic regenerative medicine,” said co-chair Melissa David. “The dedication shown by NorthShore’s medical practitioners has allowed them to become a leading national force in healthcare.”
