Canasta For a Cause: Freedom Home Care hosts charity event for Alzheimer’s

VERNON HILLS, IL (SEPTEMBER 6, 2017) – Freedom Home Care, one of Chicagoland’s leading and most respected home care agencies is co-hosting a special Canasta and Lunch Event with The Springs of Vernon Hills to support and raise awareness for Alzheimer’s research. The event is taking place from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6 at 350 S. Milwaukee Avenue, Vernon Hills. We are opening this invite to the public, so bring your friends and family for an afternoon playing Canasta. We will be serving a delicious lunch complete with an exciting raffle. Do not miss this opportunity to join us in playing this popular card game that has been around since the 1950’s, and is making a huge resurgence with people of all ages. All proceeds from this event will be donated to help find a cure for Alzheimer’s.

RSVP to [email protected] with a team of players 4-5 players by August 25 as spots are limited. A check for $20 made out to the Alzheimer’s Association can be brought to the event. Check-in and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. and cards will be dealt at noon for a fun afternoon of Canasta.
