Edgewater is a creatively vibrant neighborhood that is also culturally and socially diverse. The Edgewater Fall Art Fair was created as a homage to such diversity by featuring not only the community’s resident artists but also artists from all over Chicago, as a symbol of how Edgewater has always been a welcoming “port of entry” to many different groups of people.
Attendees of the 2nd Annual Edgewater Fall Art Fair will enjoy a rich program of events for all ages and a contagious community vibe:
–100 Chicago-based artists with original works in painting, photography, printing, illustration, pottery, mixed media, hand-made jewelry, paper arts, and mask making.
–Two stages of live music: jazz, country, Americana, reggae, Caribbean, folk songs, cabaret, opera and choral singing.
–A fashion show.
–A Children’s Activities Corner with live storytelling, finger painting, sidewalk chalk drawing and ongoing art workshops in mask making, baloon artistry, puppeteering and more.
–A Young Artists’ Gallery, with artworks by 2nd to 12th grade students of eight local schools.
