The Highland Park Strings Present The Emperor Concerto

The Highland Park Strings invite the entire family to the season opening concert with the return of pianist Mikhail Yanovitsky, PhD, who is joined by lyric soprano Galina Sakhnovskaya.
Sakhnovskaya will sing the Aria from Bachianas Brasilieras No. 5, accompanied by 8 celli. Yanovitsky will play the Emperor Concerto by Beethoven. The Strings will perform Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1. Maestro Robert Hasty, PhD, serves as principal conductor.
The soloists are a married couple holding countless accolades for their individual work across the globe. Together, they direct the Elite Music Academy near Philadelphia. Currently, Sakhnovskaya is a voice teacher and Yanovitsky teaches piano at Temple University.The concert is sponsored by YEA! Highland Park.
The entire family is also welcome to attend a 2 p.m. preconcert conversation, “The Art of Listening to Today’s Concert,” presented by Stephanie Ettelson in the same location.
