Willow House is an organization that provides support services to children, teens, and families who are grieving the death of a loved one in the Chicago area, and it is the only organization in the state of Illinois whose sole mission and focus is to serve grieving children. All services are provided free of charge. On September 17, 2017, we are hosting the 9th annual Walk to Remember & 5K Run for Hope to honor and remember loved ones and to raise funds so that Willow House can continue providing grief support services to those in need, at no charge.
The purpose of this event is to honor our lost loved ones and raise funds to ensure that Willow House can continue providing grief support services to those in need, at no charge. The CARA and USATF-certified and timed 5K race begins at 8:00 AM with a memorial walk following, at 9:00 AM. Awards and post-race party start at 10:00 AM. Those who cannot attend can still order a Memory Marker for the memorial walk, create their own fundraising page, or donate to help children and families dealing with grief and loss.
We would appreciate your help in increasing awareness for this event and would love for you to attend.
