The quality of the work by Change Design Group to design and install cabinetry for our den was truly exceptional. We are pleased beyond measure with the results! Of particular importance to us was the design which captured fully our unique requirements; which took full advantage of the room’s unusual configuration; and which incorporated especially attractive lighting. We had contracted Change Design Group to do a basement library, including a large custom desk, bookshelves, a backsplash, and trim. We couldn't be more delighted with the finished product. 1. First, it is clear that Jeff and his team are master craftsmen. The attention to detail, the quality of the cherry (grain, cut, stain, and installation), and the assembly were first-rate. When I compare it to sub-contracted work in the same space, the differences are obvious. 2. Second, the team is creative while taking feedback. They are good listeners, quickly capturing our vision and translating into a range of options at different price points. They helped us make the required trade-offs while preserving the vision we had. When something didn't look quite as we had imagined, they were quick to change it. When solutions eluded us, they were ready with functional and efficient answers. I felt that they were true partners in the creative process. 3. Third, they met required timelines without cutting corners. If it meant staying late, they stayed late. If it meant weekend work, they worked on the weekend, always while being respectful our of schedule. 4. Fourth, they are meticulous and clean. Despite the fact that many of our larger pieces required finished carpentry to happen on site, there was never a grain of sawdust after they had finished for the day. When our carpets were installed, they took care to cover and preserve them; when other contractors needed the space, they ensured their work was preserved from all possible mishap. We appreciated this pride in their work and attention to cleanliness. As with all custom work of this scale, it took time, and several meetings to work out details. But in terms of honest labor, quality construction, beauty, and creative gusto, Change Design Group is the best game in town. We would recommend them to anyone, and they are the only partners we would choose for any further work.

We give Jeff Burch the highest accolades for his impeccable work. Not only is he an extremely talented craftsman, he is detail-oriented, responsive, reliable, creative and just a really great guy. He treated our home as if it were his own. Jeff re-created our basement in '06 from an empty space to a work of art, so nice we almost didn't want our kids to use it as their place in the house. Jeff built a bathroom, laundry room,workshop, bedroom and huge open plan play area with movie theater using the space available to the greatest effect. His architectural plans were detailed and his patience and willingness to listen to our needs enabled us to get what we really wanted. His attention to detail is second to none, so much so that when we have had other contractors and tradesmen walk through my basement they have all commented on the workmanship and wanted Jeff's contact number! It has been 3 years since the construction was complete and we have had no issues that usually arise with such projects such as cracking, wiring, leaks, etc. It still looks brand new. I would strongly recommend that you would use Jeff to complete any job for your home and you can be free of worry that he will cut corners or leave you unsatisfied with his work, I can promise you his standards are higher than yours!
