Highland Park Strings Annual Benefit featuring the Chooi Brothers
February 11 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The Gala Benefit, sponsored by the Negaunee Foundation, takes place at Ravinia’s Bennett-Gordon Hall. Timothy is the recipient of multiple awards and has been featured at Ravinia. He will perform Vitali’s Chaconne and Ravel’s Tzigane. Nikki will play Barber’s
Violin Concerto. The Strings will add one of Mozart’s final symphonies, No. 40 in G minor.
Maestro Robert Hasty, PhD, serves as principal conductor. Dr. Hasty also serves as conductor and associate director of orchestras at Northwestern University, and as the music director of the Kenosha Symphony Orchestra.
Guests are also welcome to attend a 2 p.m. preconcert conversation, “The Art of Listening to Today’s Concert,” presented by Stephanie Ettelson in the same location.
Gala tickets are $40 each. Donations of $100 or more receive two tickets for the Benefit, preferred seating, a listing in the Program Book and two tickets to an April 8, 2018 Donor Appreciation Chamber Music Concert.
